Project overview

This comprehensive project was developed in close cooperation with our client, the “Service for Restoration, Construction and Management in the Karabakh Economic Region” public legal entity, under the relevant contract and design brief. The design is based on the boundary points set by the approved new master plan of Aghdam city and on a topographic survey of the site prepared by our team.

Site features and engineering approach

• Terrain and geology: Although the site was partly damaged, it retains a fertile soil layer mixed with a small amount of household waste. The site has a calm relief and, according to engineering-geological surveys, lies in a seismic zone of intensity 8.
• Infrastructure and safety: Every building is surrounded by dedicated roads that allow fire engines and ambulances to manoeuvre, as well as perimeter pavements for safe and comfortable pedestrian movement.
• Landscaping: In line with the new master plan, the designed areas are fully landscaped with green strips, event squares and modern road and pavement infrastructure.

Project buildings and technical data

In the project, the floor level of each building’s ground floor is taken as the conventional zero (0.000). The master plan data of the buildings of various purposes in the complex are listed below:

• Two-storey administrative building and single-storey medical centre
  • Site area: 4.26 ha

• Two-storey school for 480 pupils and two-storey kindergarten for 80 children (phase 2)
